Family Night

by Ryan McLaughlin ~ May 28th, 2008

While Jared was on vacation in Ohio we got to keep his Xbox360 for him. One of the games he left for us to use is Guitar Hero. My family seems to really have taken a liking to it. Jaren wants to play it every night and loves to dual anyone, as long as he wins.

Here is a video of a recent family night we had playing Guitar Hero. Continue reading »

A unique opportunity, Part 2

by Ryan McLaughlin ~ May 28th, 2008

I recently got back from a trip to LA. I talked about the trip earlier, but I was unable to share any details. Well, I can now share a little more about the trip. The company that invited me to LA is HP. They wanted me to come and check out a new LCD monitor that they are going to be releasing in June. While there I got to ride in a Limo for the first time. Actually, I got to ride in a Limo 5 times. I made this video of the Limo rides for fun. Not only had I never ridden in a Limo before, but I had never been picked up at the Airport by a driver, or had them carry my bags for me. It was nice. Continue reading »

The ducks are back

by Ryan McLaughlin ~ May 19th, 2008

After a long holiday during the winter the ducks came back and the kids got the opportunity to feed them. They are really friendly this year and one of them even nibbled at Raelynn’s finger trying to get some bread.

Sleeping children

by Ryan McLaughlin ~ May 16th, 2008

I think we can all agree that children are extremely cute, sometimes. I have also found that if you get them tired enough they can fall asleep in some very funny positions. Over the years we have taken pictures of our children in some very interesting and funny sleeping positions. Some of them are staged, meaning nobody is sleeping, but the majority of them are real. Our New Tuff Shed

by Ryan McLaughlin ~ May 13th, 2008

We decided to take President Bush’s economic stimulus money and organize our house a little. Since we are already bursting at the seams we decided we needed to add a little storage space before we could organize. So, we bought a Tuff Shed.

Wind energy

by Ryan McLaughlin ~ May 12th, 2008

Any of you who have visited my house know that it can get very windy. Well, about a month ago the local power company started construction on a few wind turbines near the mouth of the canyon. They are very close to completing the project so we took a drive down to the area to see how much is done. As you can see from the pictures they are very close to being done. The cranes are all gone and the turbines look complete. They should be turning them on next month and I know the kids are very interested in seeing them when they are turning. When I first saw them I was really surprised at how big they really are.
