Soccer season has begun and we are in full swing. Raelynn and Jaren are both playing, so every Tuesday and Thursday we have two games to attend. Luckily the games are at the same park, unluckily they are usually at the same time. Jennifer and I split up so at least one of us is at each game, we usually swap at half time.

Jaren likes to play and he is getting much better, but he gets tired quickly and he is much smaller than his teammates. He is affectionately called “the little guy” by all his teammates.

Raelynn is much more aggressive than Jaren at playing so she gets the ball more often. Raelynn is old enough that they have referees judging the game, but not old enough to play positions. Because they don’t have positions, everyone fights for the ball and they end up running the full length of the field the whole game. I try and help her to stay on one side to conserve energy.

Both are learning and having fun.
