A unique opportunity, Part 2
by Ryan McLaughlin ~ May 28th, 2008
I recently got back from a trip to LA. I talked about the trip earlier, but I was unable to share any details. Well, I can now share a little more about the trip. The company that invited me to LA is HP. They wanted me to come and check out a new LCD monitor that they are going to be releasing in June. While there I got to ride in a Limo for the first time. Actually, I got to ride in a Limo 5 times. I made this video of the Limo rides for fun. Not only had I never ridden in a Limo before, but I had never been picked up at the Airport by a driver, or had them carry my bags for me. It was nice.

Limos are not that much fun to get in and out of. As you can see from the video you have to practically crawl on your hands and knees to get to your seat.
HP got me a very nice hotel room, I could see the Hollywood sign from my window. They even had a little gift waiting for me when I got there.
I rode in a limo to and from the airport and also to and from the DreamWorks campus. While at DreamWorks I not only saw the HP LCD display, but I also got a tour the campus and see their new Movie “Kung Fu Panda” in their private theater.
While in LA I also walked down the “the Hollywood Walk of Fame” on Hollywood Blvd and took some pictures of some of the Stars on the sidewalk.
I had a blast and I hope for many more opportunities like this one.
